Professor Gordon Donaldson CBE FBA FRSE
Gordon Donaldson, eminent Scottish historian, prolific writer of international repute and HM Historiographer in Scotland, died in his eightieth year on 16 March 1993 at Cameron Hospital, Windygates, Fife. He bore with fortitude and courage the cancer which afflicted him.
