Professor Fiona Elizabeth Macpherson FRSE

Professor of Philosophy, University of Glasgow.

Professor Fiona Macpherson is Professor, Head of Philosophy, Deputy Head of the School of Humanities, and Director of the Centre for the Study of Perceptual Experience at the University of Glasgow. Her research concerns the nature of consciousness, perception, perceptual experience, introspection, imagination and the metaphysics of mind. Fiona is particularly known for her work on individuating the senses, cognitive penetration, illusion and hallucination. She was President of the Scots Philosophical Association (2015-2016), and is currently a member of the Arts and Humanities Research Council, and Trustee of the Kennedy Memorial Trust.
