Professor Phil King FRSE

Professor of Physics, University of St Andrews

Phil King is an experimental condensed matter physicist at the University of St Andrews. His research interests focus on investigating the electronic properties at surfaces, interfaces, and in atomic-scale heterostructures of quantum materials. After a PhD in surface physics at the University of Warwick, and postdoctoral work in St Andrews and Cornell, Phil returned to the University of St Andrews in 2013 as a Royal Society University Research Fellow. He currently serves as Director of Research in the School of Physics and Astronomy.
