Professor Michela Massimi FRSE

Professor of Philosophy of Science, University of Edinburgh

Professor Michela Massimi is Professor of Philosophy of Science at the University of Edinburgh and has extensively written in the area of history and philosophy of science and, in particular, modern physics. Professor Massimi was Vice-President of the European Philosophy of Science Association (2015 – 19) and President of the US-based Philosophy of Science Association (2023-24). She is the recipient of the Royal Society 2017 Wilkins-Bernal-Medawar Medal and Lecture for her achievements in the area of history and philosophy of physics.
