Professor Mark Inall FRSE

CSA Marine for Scottish Government, Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS)

Professor Mark E. Inall is a leading Scottish marine physicist and Chief Scientific Adviser for Marine to the Scottish Government. With over three decades of expertise in physical oceanography, he specialises in marine mixing processes and ocean–shelf interactions in mid- and high-latitude waters. He leads the Marine Physics Research Group at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) and is a former Director of the Scottish Alliance for Geoscience, Environment and Society (SAGES). Holding a BSc in Physics from the University of Edinburgh and MSc/PhD from the University of Southampton, Inall champions marine science for environmental and societal benefit.
