Professor Lee Innes FRSE

Director of Communication, Moredun Research Institute

Professor Lee Innes is a leader in science communication and public engagement. Her research is in infectious diseases of livestock in the UK and Africa and she has been Principal Scientist at Moredun Research Institute since 1991, becoming Director of Communications in 2008. Lee was awarded an MBE in 2015 New Year Honours for services to Scientific Research and Science Communication and holds Honorary Professorships from Heriot Watt University, University of Edinburgh and University of Glasgow. She recently received an award for Outstanding Contribution to Knowledge Exchange at the Scottish Knowledge Exchange awards in February 2017.
