Gerda Stevenson: writer/actor/director/singer-songwriter, working in theatre, TV, opera, radio and film, founder of Scotland’s leading women’s theatre company STELLAR QUINES, and winner of a BAFTA for her performance in Margaret Tait’s feature film ‘Blue Black Permanent’. Her play, ‘Federer Versus Murray’, toured to New York, sponsored by the Scottish Government. Her writing is studied at Glasgow University and the Open University. Her poetry collections, ‘If This Were Real’, and ‘Quines: Poems in Tribute to Women of Scotland’, have been translated into Italian, published in Rome. In 2025, she received the Janet Paisley Services to Scots Award.
