Armando Iannucci is a writer and director whose TV works include the iconic BBC comedy The Thick of It, co-creation of the popular Steve Coogan character Alan Partridge, and Veep for HBO which picked up numerous awards, including four Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series. His debut feature In The Loop (2009) was nominated for an Academy Award. It was succeeded by The Death of Stalin (2016), which was nominated for 2 BAFTAs and won Best Comedy at the European Film Awards, and The Personal History of David Copperfield (2020) which won Best Screenplay at the WGBA and BIFA, and was also nominated for a Golden Globe.
