Veterinary Surgeon with many years in senior roles in pharma, biotech and agtech. Founded a global powerhouse in veterinary publishing, sold in 2000. Since then Douglas has invested in many early stage companies, primarily in the life sciences sector.
Served as a NED of many companies in UK and USA, as well as on the Development Boards of the University of Glasgow Vet School and the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. Former Trustee of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, and a current Trustee of the RSE Scotland Foundation.
Awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for Meritorious Contribution to the Profession.
