Dr Carol Trager-Cowan FRSE

Reader in the Department of Physics, University of Strathclyde

Alongside her role at the University of Strathclyde, Dr Carol Trager-Cowan is committed to promoting physics through public engagement and understanding. Her outreach work has included giving lectures, writing articles, running workshops and quizzes, street busking, leading science street tours and providing kits to schools. As well as her membership to the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Carol is also a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and the Royal Microscopical Society. Together with her research team and collaborators, Carol works on new developments and novel applications of the scanning electron microscopy techniques of electron backscatter diffraction, electron channelling, contrast imaging and cathodoluminescence imaging.
