Dame Anne Richards FRSE

Anne Richards graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BSc (Hons) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering in 1985 and began working as a Research Fellow at CERN. Since then she has focused on investment management, although retains an interest in technology and fundamental science. Anne was appointed CEO of M&G Investments in 2016 after 13 years as CEO of Aberdeen Asset Management. In July 2018, she left this role to become Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity International and subsequently Vice Chair in 2024. Previous non-executive positions include Director of Esure Group Plc and Scottish Chamber Orchestra. She is a previous Vice Convener of the University of Edinburgh and Chair of the CERN & Society Foundation. She is a trustee of the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering Foundation.
