Baroness Barbara Young of Old Scone HonFRSE

Environmental campaigner and regulator, Baroness Young of Old Scone has worked to safeguard and improve the environment of a range of wildlife and environment organisations globally, nationally and locally. This includes Chief Executive of RSPB (1991 – 98), Chairman of English Nature (1998 – 2000), Chief Executive of the Environment Agency (2000 – 08), as well as a number of other environmental and wildlife organisations. Barbara was Chief Executive of the charity Diabetes UK between 2010 and 2015, and in 2016 became Chancellor of Cranfield University. She was created a Life Peer Member of the House of Lords in 1997 where she promotes environmental issues.
