The RSE Fellowship comprises around 1,800 leading experts in the sciences, arts, business, professions and the third and public sectors, with links to Scotland. This range of expertise within the Fellowship places us in a unique position to provide an informed, interdisciplinary response to issues facing Scotland and internationally.

Our Fellows from academia, business and public service are among the most distinguished in their fields. We engage and connect nationally and internationally to share knowledge and tackle the most pressing challenges of the modern world.

Dr Sandy Nairn
Investment Partner and CEO/Chairman, Edinburgh Partners
Sandy founded investment firm Edinburgh Partners in 2003. Prior to this he held a range of senior positions in fund management. He has a degree in economics and engineering and a PhD in economics from the University of Strathclyde. Whilst professionally an investor in listed equities, he has been personally involved in numerous start-up businesses and retains a strong interest in new business creation. In 2019, he established a charitable trust to provide assistance to less well-off students entering further education.
