Fellowship

Dr Deborah O’Neil is a biotechnology entrepreneur. An immunologist by training, her career currently focuses on the research and development of novel and anti-infective therapies based on the body’s response to infection. In 2004, she founded the biotechnology company, NovaBiotics, which develops first-in-class antibacterial and antifungal drug candidates against medically unmet and drug-resistant infections. Deborah is an active member of the local and national life sciences community, with roles on various public, private, charity and cross-sector leadership groups. She is a passionate advocate for STEM learning and the promotion of public engagement with the biotechnology and wider life sciences sector.
