Professor Douglas John Paul FRSE

Professor of Semiconductor Devices, University of Glasgow.

Professor Douglas Paul is a physicist who joined the University of Glasgow in 2007 after holding various roles at the University of Cambridge. His research interests include nanofabrication, nanoelectronics, Si/SiGe heterostructures, CMOS, quantum cascade lasers, quantum devices, silicon photonics, terahertz systems, inorganic molecular electronics and thermoelectrics. This work has applications in the fields of healthcare, security, ICT and energy. He was the recipient of the Institute of Physics President’s Medal in 2014.
