Fellowship

Since early 2018, Dr Dame Denise Coia has been Chair of Children and Young People’s Mental Health Task Force – a joint commission by the Scottish Government and COSLA. Prior to this she spent eight years as the inaugural Chair of Healthcare Improvement Scotland. She has a background in the NHS as a Consultant Psychiatrist and is a past Chair of College of Psychiatrists in Scotland and Mental Health Advisor to Scottish Government. Interests include Social Care Policy, Patient Safety, Quality Assurance of Healthcare and the Mental Health and Wellbeing of the NHS workforce.
