Katherine competed for Team GB at five Olympic Games from 2000 to 2016, winning medals at each of the Games, the only British female athlete to achieve that. She is now the Chair of UK Sport supporting Olympic and Paralympic sport and also works with various charities helping young people to access the benefits of sport and physical activity. She occasionally works with the BBC. Katherine has a PhD in criminal law and the sentencing of murder.
