Professor Colin Neil Alexander Palmer FRSE

Professor of Pharmacogenomics, Ninewells Hospital and Medical School.

Professor Colin Palmer is Chair of Pharmacogenomics at the University of Dundee. His lab specialises in population genetic research and has research projects studying the genetic basis for susceptibility to common diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, asthma and cancer. Colin is a Director of the Scottish Health Research Register, which engages the public in health research and is tasked with getting permission from the public for the use of “spare blood” in research. He has published over 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
