Professor Celso Grebogi FRSE

Sixth Century Chair in Nonlinear and Complex Systems, University of Aberdeen.

Professor Celso Grebogi is a theoretical physicist with expertise in Chaotic Dynamics and Fractal Geometry, Nonlinear and Complex Systems, Theory of Dynamical Systems, Mathematical Biology and Systems Biology. Born in Curitiba, Brazil, Celso spent the majority of his career at the University of Maryland, USA, first as a Research Associate in 1981 and finally as a Professor from 1993 to 2001. He then returned to Brazil to take up post as Professor in the Institute of Physics, University of Sao Paulo. Celso has been the Sixth Century Chair in Nonlinear and Complex Systems at the University of Aberdeen for almost 15 years.
