Justice leaders’ network, community of interest

Established in 2025 to strengthen evidence-informed policy in Scotland’s justice system and enhance public understanding of criminal and civil justice.

Definition

It aims to mobilise the RSE’s expertise of Fellows, YAS members and other representatives to strengthen evidence-informed policy in Scotland’s justice system and enhance public understanding of criminal and civil justice. Activities include policy roundtables, workshops, and public engagement events.

Open to all interested Fellows and YAS members, these groups may also invite contributions from non-members.

About

Each community of interest creates space for discussion, collaboration, and the development of proposals for future activities. They provide a forum to:

  • explore emerging issues and opportunities,
  • connect people with shared expertise and perspectives,
  • participate in the development of workstream proposals and initiatives.
  • engage in key policy consultations and responses.

Participation is open and voluntary. The membership is ever-evolving to ensure that discussion remains relevant, dynamic, and impactful.
