Committee Purpose

The RSE Fellowship Committee (previously known as the Monitoring Committee) first met in 1991. It is responsible for making final recommendations to RSE Council on:

Candidates to be proposed for election as Fellows.

The number and categories of Fellows to be elected.

Overseeing the arrangements governing the operation of Sector Groups, Sectional Committees and the Fellowship nomination process.

Operational process

The committee meets at least twice yearly to consider recommendations from Sector Groups and to discharge the above duties. The Fellowship Secretary also attends the Annual Statutory Meeting in October and the New Fellows’ Induction in May. Fellowship Committee Members attend Sectional Committee meetings, as observers.

The Fellowship Committee is responsible for the management of Sector Groups and Sectional Committees.
